IP addresses and log file data

Thie website does not automatically capture or store personal information, other than logging the user's IP Address or the location of your computer or network on the Internet, for systems administration and troubleshooting purposes. (If you are connected to the Internet you have an IP address, for example an IP address might read "38.107.191.102"). We also use IP addresses in the aggregate to track which pages people visit in order to improve the quality of the site.

You are asked for personal information if you complete one of the forms on this site. There is a full and specific explanation of what data is stored at the end of this section.

• Petition
  We will store your name, email address and postcode to be presented on a petition to the Scottish Government. We will use your email address to keep you updated with specific information relating to the campaign, but will not use it for any other purposes.
• Email your MSPs and the Minister Responsible
  We will send the message you type, your name, email address, and postal address to your constituency MSP, your seven list MSPs and the Minister. We do not store any of this information, except the following:
• The number of messages which have been sent to each MSP.
• The MSPs for each postcode are stored.
